Sabana Grande de Boyá, Monte Plata. El movimiento Social Juventud Caribe de esta comunidad incautó el minibús que transporta a los estudiantes Universitarios en demanda de que la alcaldesa, Bertilia Fernández, pague el atraso de ocho subvenciones ascendentes a 80 mil pesos, que le aprobó el concejo de regidores del Ayuntamiento Municipal.
La acción se llevó a cabo la noche del viernes 24 del corriente mes, y fue encabezada por el dirigente del Movimiento, el estudiante Enger Ruiz.
“No vamos a permitir que nuestra palabra caiga por el suelo; le dimos un plazo a la alcaldesa de siete días y lo que argumenta es que el Ayuntamiento no tiene fondos. Sin embargo para hacer campaña y gastarse trescientos mil peso en fiestas, si aparecen los cuartos”. Enfatizó Ruiz.
Mientras que Melvin Olmos, quien también es dirigente de Juventud Caribe y de la Asociación de Estudiantes Universitarios de Sabana Grande de Boyá (ASEUNISABO), dijo que hoy tomaron la decisión de traer la guagua a la alcaldesa, y se la dejaron frente al palacio municipal para que se recuerde que los estudiantes tienen que ir a la capital todos los sábados “y que no podemos ir a pie.
Añadió que a partir del lunes, estarán realizando otro tipo de actividades de mayor contundencia.
De su lado, Fernández explicó a informatediario.com, que los dirigentes de Juventud Caribe no se habían comunicado con su persona, y que ella siempre ha estado abierta al diálogo, no solo para los movimientos sociales, sino, para el pueblo en general, “esto incluye, los partidos aliados y de oposición”.
“Los regidores han aprobado un presupuesto sin tener conocimiento previo, producto quizás de la inmadurez, sin saber de dónde se va a sacar el dinero que le aprobaron a la Asociación de Estudiantes. Hemos sido la gestión que más hemos colaborado con Los Estudiantes”, aseguró.
Fernández declaró que, mucho antes de ser alcaldesa, ha venido colaborando con la asociación de estudiante y que una muestra de ello es que por su gestión se consiguió el primer bus que tuvo la asociación, donado por el entonces presidente del Senado, Ramón Alburquerque, y que luego gestionó la guagua blanca.
“Ellos deben de entender que no hay dinero, nosotros encontramos una deuda millonaria. Además sufrimos un embargo a las cuentas del cabildo por el conflicto del pago de las prestaciones laborales a los empleados de la gestión pasada”, explicó la alcaldesa.
Por otro lado, el presidente de ASEUNISABO, el estudiante Manuel Alfredo Mota, declaró en su cuenta de facebook que se desvincula de cualquier acto que se realice en contra del Ayuntamiento.
Los dirigentes Estudiantiles, Enger Ruiz, Melvin Olmos y Manuel Dotel, amenazaron con renunciar de la Asociación si su presidente no da muestra de buen manejo para el que, según consideraron, fue elegido como tal.
El dirigente Heriberto Rodríguez declaró que la Asociación solo recibió 4 cheques el año pasado y que los mismos lo obtuvo por encontrarse en un proceso electoral interno de la Asociación.
