Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.-El ex consultor jurídico y dirigente del Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), Guido Gómez Mazara, negó las denuncias realizadas ayer por seis diputados de esa organización política, en torno a un presunto plan orquestado por él para asesinar al presidente del PRD, Miguel Vargas Maldonado.
“Imposible, bajo ningún concepto” , respondió Gómez Mazara al ser cuestionado sobre el particular en el programa radial El Gobierno de la Mañana, que se transmite por la emisora la Z101.
Mazara dijo que con ese tipo de “show”, los políticos están creando las condiciones para que la sociedad no crea en ellos, al tiempo que agradeció que, a pesar de las inconductas de algunos, las personas continúen depositando votos de confianza.
Manifestó que siente aprecio por los legisladores que “montaron semejante espectáculo” y criticó el hecho de que siendo ellos los garantes de que se preserve y se respete la ley, hagan uso ilegal y sin consentimiento, de ese tipo de recursos.
Consideró que en este momento, lo prioritario es seguir trabajando por la candidatura de Hipólito Mejía, ya que esa es la que representa el cambio que la sociedad necesita.
«Hay que detener ese tipo de prácticas porque es dañina. Lo importante es concentrarse en el trabajo electoral y que se siga transitando las preocupaciones ciudadanas para resolverlas» dijo Gómez Mazara.
Asimismo, lamentó que ellos (los cuatro legisladores denunciantes) se centren en cosas internas, cuando lo que deben hacer es enfocarse en trabajar en la candidatura de Mejía y dejar fuera los asuntos personales.
En tanto, el diputado Leo Adames, a quien se le imputa ser la otra persona con quien Gómez Mazara conversa en la grabación , entiende que lo sucedido ayer es una estrategia para distraer la atención nacional de los asuntos de importancia en el país como la corrupción. Añadió que por eso han utilizado temas como la conspiracion contra Haití, para contrarestarla.
Adames indicó que, según el rumor público, el verdadero motivo de la reunión de los diputados era para anunciar su respaldo a Danilo Medina, pero que, al parecer, no se concretó el acuerdo, porque ellos piden la Cámara de Diputados para el 16 de agosto.
En una rueda de prensa realizada en la tarde de ayer en el hotel Santo Domingo, los diputados Víctor Gómez Casanova, Aquiles Ledesma, Tina de León, José Isidro Rosario, Manny González y Rafael Vázquez, acusaron Gómez Mazara de plantear una supuesta trama a Miguel Vargas Maldonado.
